Birthday Outing

On Saturday we braved the cold and set out for a Pre-Birthday celebration. We started off with the best breakfast stop: Brick Oven. (conveniently located up the street from us) After stuffing our faces and bundling up, we told Gracie the big surprise....we were going to the Mystic Aquarium!!!! She was thrilled!!! Mimi and Poppy bought Grace and Abby a membership for their birthdays! (thank you Mimi and Poppy!)
We made sure to see everything. Here are some highlights from the day:
Grace was brave enough to pet a shark.
A diver "talked" to us by writing on a notepad in the fish tank.
We enjoyed the sea lion show- even Abs was clapping for glee!

It was a special day for a special girl. Since her birthday was on a Sunday this year, we set aside that Saturday go somewhere she would really enjoy. She says that she had a lot of fun!
Later on that day, we were able to have Siah, Miah, Auntie Bet and Uncle Daniel over for pizza and cupcakes! (That was Grace's birthday meal choice!)
