The November activity started off calmly.
It began with raking leaves for a couple from our church. The teens really worked hard and finished the yard in no time! After that, we went to the Darling's house for the remainder of our evening.
This was "Initiation Night" for some of the victims...umm, I mean teens. They were really good sports about it!
First up, were the newest members of the teen group....the "babies" of the group, if you will. (Hannah & Christa) This title meant that they had to race to drink formula and eat baby food. Since Christa couldn't be there we had substitute "Christas". Jeremiah & Hannah raced in the formula competition. Hannah won and thus, Jeremiah ended up with whipped cream on his face!
The baby food competition was a duel of sisters as Abby was our next "Christa". This race was particularly gross, and in the end Abby won. Hannah, therefore ended up with whipped cream all over her. Poor Hannah. She was a great sport about it, though. (if it had been me, I'd have been crying!)
After all the excitement, we went inside for an amazing meal of fried dough and toppings. Absolutely delicious. The Darlings were such wonderful hosts and we are grateful for their hospitality to us!!
Part Two of the initiation was for all those who said "I've never been initiated either!". We had something special planned for them as well. They sat as a panel and Mr. Jake read them questions about the church's history, address, etc. For every question they answered wrong, Hannah gave them as many pieces of double bubble gum
This activity will definitely be remembered for a long time to come!
