The Stain

Miss Grace has a dress with sparkles that she really likes. She was sad when she realized that some hot chocolate had spilled on it.
"Not to worry. I will wash it," Mommy said.

A few days later when I was bringing up the laundry Miss Grace shouted "Praise the Lord!" as she grabbed the dress from the clean laundry pile. Holding it up, she kept saying....

"Praise the Lord! The stain is gone!"

I smiled at her absolute joy over such a little thing that I knew would come out. But I was quickly reminded of how we should rejoice to have our sins forgiven and our hearts clean and pure by the forgiveness of our Lord and Savior. What an awesome thing to be forgiven forever!!

May I ever be mindful to get rid of lingering sin, to be fully washed by the blood of Jesus, and to be excited about His love and mercy to me!

Isaiah 1:18........."though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
