Gracie never ceases to amaze us with how quickly she learns something. She has found a new hobby lately. Since Mommy has been "knitting" with a loom, guess who wants to do it too! Her first attempt was with a loom to make flowers, and her 'flower' looked more like a pickle or a sausage. :)
But a friend from church gave us a bunch of looms that she didn't want anymore, and someone has already learned how to use them...and perfectly, may I add.
I was actually surprised to watch her weave it row by row. She gladly declares that she is making a blanket for her doll. I am really glad that she has an interest to do such things. As the girls get older, we would like for them to learn all kinds of domestic things. We just can't believe how fast the "getting older" part is going.
I recently read (about child rearing) that the 'days are long but the years are short.' It kind of stuck in my head. We thank God for the two precious gifts He has given to us. Day by day, we try to raise them in the way that is well pleasing to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We pray that they will be fully equipped to serve Him in whatever way He chooses.
For now, we savor every day...every minute. And as for today, I will sit beside my little girl and enjoy these moments to make our blankets together. Before any more years quickly pass us by.
