The Big Birthday Trip

This year, in honor of Gracie turning 5 (can't believe it!), we took her to a special place we knew she'd love. She has had a fascination with the Statue of Liberty for a while. We have taken every book we could find out of the library on Lady Liberty. We have also looked it up online and learned about how it was built, etc. She would often say how she'd love to see it some day. Sooooo.... {you guessed it} we took her there!!!

The Lord worked out all the details of our day. Grace was even given a special "Junior Park Ranger" badge by a Park Ranger himself!!! (big stuff) We had a nice day being together and watching her eyes light up in wonder at the Statue. Hopefully, she will remember her fifth bday for many years.
