This Saturday was our first activity with our Teen Group at church! A couple from the church, Mr. & Mrs. Carr, graciously hosted the event.
They planned such a fun day for us all!
Our first stop was Gillette's Castle for a hike along the walking trails surrounding it. The Lord gave us a beautiful day to enjoy His creation all around us. (Unfortunately and unbelievably I did not take ONE picture of the castle!?? But you can click on the link above and read more about its history, etc.) I also did not get a picture of Josiah and the large frog that he found and showed us all asking if we wanted to hold it...and some did!!
After that, we headed straight to the Carr's charming home. They were so kind and hospitable to us! We gobbled up a yummy meal, rode on their mini-go-kart-bike-thingy (I have no clue what you call it), played a fun game of "Guess Who" and focused our eyes on the Lord and His Word for a time of devotion.
It was a special day for us since we were the rookies of the event. It was also Christa's first activity and the Lord kept her safe as she rode the motor bike!!! (You can ask her about that one!)
We are SOOO thrilled to be a part of the teen ministry at Cornerstone and we are so thankful for an amazing group of teens who love the Lord and want to serve Him!! Can't wait for the next activity!
