The.Ultimate.Scavenger.Hunt

This month our teen activity was a scavenger hunt, but not just any scavenger hunt: the ULTIMATE scavenger hunt.

We divided up into four teams (each with an adult driver) and drove around the area for an hour. It was fast paced and intense. We met back at the Welch home and counted the scores. To add to the fun, two teams were tied for the winning spot.
To break the tie, the two teams had to bring Mr. Jake five dandelions as quickly as they could.

In the end, Mr. Jake & Miss Lauren's team (with Joshua, Emma and Emily) won the ultimate scavenger hunt.

Old tires, chicken feathers, deflated balloons, and autographs of Pastor -as well as managers from fast food places- were all brought back.

Pictures in cemeteries, pictures with cows, pictures of road kill and pictures with workers at a local meat store were also included in the day.

The Welch family graciously opened their home to us and we feasted on home-made egg rolls and other delicious food from Mrs. Bopha Smith and Mrs. Welch.

God's Word was brought forth in a powerful and clear way about salvation and the fruit that follows.

Several of the teens expressed that this was their favorite activity of all time. We are praising the Lord for a great day, beautiful weather and an awesome teen group!

PS- I did not have my camera along for the "hunt" but once we collect all of the pics, I'm hoping to include some of the highlights on another post!
